Its officially spring time! I’ll be the first to admit that I’m excited about it. Your girl just isn’t into cold weather at all. I’m bringing in the spring season with the cutest dress from BooHoo but purchased from The Unclaimed Baggage Center located in Scottsboro, Alabama.
I love incorporating color into an outfit and floral prints is an awesome way to do that. …and, we all know that leopard print can basically be paired with anything. It’s literally the “new black”. The real star of this look is the earrings. How cute are they!?!?! They were handmade by Gemini Flyii.
I’m learning the importance of perfecting my look and being comfortable with my decision. My choice is just that… my choice!. Remember to be creative and most importantly…. have FUN!

Here in Alabama… these hot days call for Sasee Maxi dresses. I love to be comfortable on the weekends after a long week of working. I’m sure you all feel me? 🙂 Maxi dresses give you the chance to be stylish yet comfortable while doing your daily tasks. I know that this would be considered a fashionable trend, but it’s an item that you can definitely bring out your style with the right selection and accessories. I’m so happy I gave this maxi a second look!
Let’s just pause right here for a second… I’m loving how this maxi flows. It shows off my waist line in a flattering way. Girl, I’ve been working out at the gym and I’m not ashamed to show it. LOL! The dress is simple yet the accessories complete outfit. You take an black and white stripe maxi dress and pair it with red flats… you have a winning combination on your hands. The necklace is a bit dressy but it brings sassiness to the look. Can I get an Oh Yea, for the frame shaped earrings? The ensemble is just perfect!
Until the next blog…. Be Comfortable yet Stylish!

I’ll be the first to admit that leopard is the new black. Pair it with a pop of color such as blue and it instantly creates a nice look. It gives a nice modern city girl feel. This outfit it both sexy and stylish but most of all it’s comfortable.

The cooler weather is starting to come in and there are a few key essentials you must fall for. I just love the fall season! I love to play up a simple outfit and dress it up with a cute scarf. You can definitely represent your own style and personality through scarves. There are so many different ways you can wear them. Well…the subject of scarves can be the next blog.
Here are a few must have items for your closets, drawers, buckets…. LOL!!! Ladies, you know about those buckets they are a must have storage item. 🙂
Lets talk blazers… this is an item you can’t go wrong with. A blazer can dress up the most simple outfits. Blazers can be worn in a day look and quickly turned into a night look. For the day pair it with a dress or a trouser for a professional look. The night look can be a skinny jean or pencil skirt with a scarf or your favorite hat. This look is good for happy hour with the girls or a quick dinner with your spouse or special friend.
You can never go wrong with a button-down shirt. There’s so much you can do with this classic item. It can be paired with a flare or pencil skirt. A nice flare skirt with pumps or boots will definitely be the “go to” outfit for the fall. Don’t be afraid to play with prints with this look. You won’t regret it… I promise!
Skirts, skirts, and more skirts! Yes, this will indeed be the style trend for fall. Ladies, don’t hesitate to step into your edgy wild side with your skirts. LOL! It’s perfectly fine to be bold with your colors and prints. Take that bold skirt and match it a cute tee or blouse to make a statement.
An outfit isn’t complete without accessories. Your jewelry can be the final piece that brings everything together. Earrings can be a key item to help bring out your personality through style. The bigger the better… unique and odd is even better. Let’s explore stepping outside the box of the normal silver and gold earrings. I’m loving the styles shown above. They are all different and will make a statement with your outfit.
Ok ladies….I cannot wait to try out some of the pieces listed above. I will definitely post pictures! Don’t forget to send me your photos…I cannot wait to see how fierce you look.
Until the next blog…..BE BOLD!
Anyone that knows me… know that I’m a lover of birthdays. Especially my birthday! This year was extremely special since I turned the big 35… YES… Big Deal! I’m so grateful to God for allowing me to see another year. I’m truly blessed! As a fashion and style blogger, I love to express my style and personality through my outfits. This dress illustrated confidence and boldness.
I want women (especially my “curvy ladies”) to know that it’s nothing wrong with being confident in yourself. Don’t be afraid to show off your style and personality. My slogan is… Be Confident, Be Unique, Be YOU!!! We all must make an effort to not let anyone deter you from your goals. I personally have a new lease on life; and, I’ll be the first to admit that I won’t let anyone hinder me from achieving my goals. Ladies, life is too short to miss out on things you desire to accomplish.
I’ve never felt so gorgeous! Yes, 35 looks good on me! I’m so blessed and thankful to the Lord for all His many blessings.

A dress can often be the statement piece a woman needs when she’s making her grand entrance. I’ve made the comment several times that a dress can definitely compliment a woman’s curves. It can provide the necessary confidence she needs, if the sizing and style is correct for her body shape. This is extremely important because it can make or break the look.
I had the pleasure of working with Eshakti (www.eshakti.com) and I received this gorgeous dress from them.
Eshakti is an online women clothing store which provides custom sizes and styles. You can add a sleeve, pockets, or length if desired. The outfit can be custom made for your silhouette. How awesome is that?? 🙂
The dress is blue and white. My orange patent leather pumps were the pop of color. I paired the outfit with a gold clutch and pearl earrings to complete the look. I must admit that I love this dress on me. It accentuates my curves and it provided the sexy appeal I needed to pull off the look. Ladies, being confident is extremely important…if you love it then rock it. Don’t make any apologies for it!! It’s your style and your personality. #RememberThat

Who doesn’t love a great deal?
A deal so good that its kinda hard to believe….yeah that’s what I’m talking about. Being a plus size fashion blogger, it’s important to share with other “curvy girls” when I’ve come across a good deal. I challenged myself to find a complete outfit for under $50. I knew this could be a tough task but I was up to the challenge. Where can a girl find a great outfit for $50 or less? Plato’s Closet – Trussville, Alabama… of course. 🙂
I truly out done myself with this look. A dress, shoes, and earrings for $34…. yes… $34!!! I was so proud of myself and, I could not wait to share with you all.
Plato’s Closet (www.platoscloset.com), Trussville, Alabama location, has really cute clothing. Plato’s sells clothing they have purchased from customers. The setup is similar to consignment shops but, the difference is that you are paid up front for your clothing versus waiting until they sell. Cool stuff, huh?
Dress – $6; Earrings – $3; Shoes – $25………… Total $34
Who’s willing to try the $50 or less challenge? Please share your findings… photos please!!
Until the next #blog…. remain Stylish!
Skirts can be both stylish and fierce. Yet, so comfortable and convenient at the same time. It seems that just yesterday pencil skirts were the “go to” statement piece. Especially for curvy girls… you could definitely count on it to slim the waist and, accentuate the shape in a “good way”. Well… times have truly changed for the better. Ladies are becoming bold with their style and, not ashamed to “show off” their personality through an outfit. Who would have ever thought that skirt styles from the 50’s and 60’s could make a comeback?? They have…. and, I’m loving it!
I was shopping at a local Salvation Army Store. To my surprise, I ran across this gorgeous yellow pleated skirt. I immediately thought about the flare skirts and how they are making a comeback. There’s something special about this one…maybe it’s the stylish vintage look that made me fall in love with it.
I totally love how the peplum shirt provides shape to the waist line. The shoes are the pop of color needed to take the outfit to the next level. ….and, who doesn’t love a cute clutch? A pair of statement earrings brings everything together.
So to answer the question at hand…. Yes, skirts can be flattering!
Remember, however you decide to ROCK it… ROCK it well!!!!
